Quadrant You Live In Age Years Living in Verona Comments
Unanswered 30 to 45 6 to 10 As a parent who has a child with an IEP I have found that the special ed teachers are exceptional, helpful and caring. The regular teachers are also quite efficient and have helped my child progress immesely to be become more self confident.

North West 46 to 60 Over 10 We had a positive experience when we were involved with the elementary school.
North West Over 60 6 to 10 Mr. Ramp and Mr. Valente and Mr. Albano are truly excellent educators.
South East 30 to 45 1 to 5 Not happy about levels of homework. Way too much is expected. Some parents can't help the kids with it which makes it unfair to the children.
South East 30 to 45 Over 10 SCA's and Administration of the 4 schools don't work together enough. Programs and facilities vary too much throughout the district. Not enough time for teachers to focus on the the "r's. Mrs. Gordon and Miss Flynn, Mrs Symzak very good teachers. And some less than average young teachers being hired. Too many born and bred Veronites being hired all over the school district. Mr. Rampolla is nice ...but he is no leader! He forgets everything and moves too slow. He is nice to the kids, but he isn't challenging anyone to improve. Frank Albano is the best example of how to run our schools. Children need better role models like him. Mr. Kim and Joe Bellino ...the last hope. We will not feel confident again until Phil G and Mary P. are not in position. They failed once...with more power, they can make that mistake again.
South East 30 to 45 Over 10 many great teachers.
South East 30 to 45 Over 10 Presently our children do not use the elementary school system.
South East 46 to 60 1 to 5 The recent financial problems are disscouraging. Also class size is becoming an issue.
South East 46 to 60 6 to 10 Basicly, the schools do the minimum amount of work they need to do. They do not aspire to greatness and even look down upon anyone who would suggest that they do so. The gifted and talented program in the middle school is a joke. The teachers seem to have no training in teaching gifted children. The older teachers who have been with the district for a long time don't make any effort to improve on their methods of teaching. Although they are supposedly required to attend workshops and/or classes to learn new techniques or to hear about new methods of teaching, they just do the same old thing every single year. If a child is academically talented but lazy, none of the teachers make an effort to inspire or encourate that child to reach their full potential. They just reward them for doing as well as the others do, even if that is less than they are capable.
South East 46 to 60 Over 10 school system, in all its parts, constitute one of the most significant assets that build value in this community, and its housing pricing.
